Patrick is a Grove City College electrical engineering graduate. He currently works as a Controls Engineer for the power company. While he is working, he is also working towards and MBA and Project Management Degree from Mississippi State University. Patrick graduated from high school as a homeschooled student in 2012.
Patrick welcomes any opportunity to “tickle the ivories.” He began piano lessons at the age of five. He utilized that instruction to develop his own unique style that applies to every song he plays. In addition, he enjoys playing guitar, the organ, and occasionally he may pick up the banjo. Patrick’s musical approach has been heavily influenced by the Getty’s, The Willis Clan, Tommy Emanuel, Allison Krauss and Union Station, GVB, and older style country music.
In his free time, Patrick enjoys spending time with family, hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. Patrick is a horseman at heart. Before he went to college, he spent a large amount of time caring for horses. He trained his most recent horse, a blue roan Tennessee Walker, to drive and to pull a cart. He found this to be a very rewarding experience. For Patrick, horsemanship has always been something that drew him closer to God and revealed to him the awesomeness of the Creator. Give him a Tennessee Walker, a revolver, Mathew’s bow, and a fly rod and he would be quite content.
Patrick considers life to be a challenge and, quite frankly, he enjoys it that way. It is amazing that the heavenly Father bestows upon us the strength and drive to accomplish everything in life. God fills us with purpose and strength. Furthermore, he drives away fear and distress. Isaiah 43:1-2 states, “Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”
